A party of Salemeits, who have been hunting at Little Nestucca, returned home well pleased with thir luck.

E. P. Werner, W. Baxter, G. Baxter and P. Baxter have been trying their luck in duck hunting. E. Werner and W. Baxter killed eight geese at one shot.

Mrs. Gallaud has gone east on a four month's visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Baxter have gone to Salem on business.

Mr. Landingham shot three deer the other day.

Thanksgiving Day passed quietly and pleasantly away in this neighborhood. A turkey dinner was given by Mrs. Werner, there being present the following guests: Mrs. Landingham, Master Landingham, Mrs. Baxter, Miss M. Baxter, Miss A. Baxter, Miss S. Baxter, Mister D. Baxler and Mr. M. Peterson.
