7/11/1890, Headlight (This page was typed by Maggie, a Nestucca Valley Middle School student during the spring of 2003 as part of a technology class and edited by Dean Bones.)

Our town is booming.

Hay harvest is at hand and crops look well.

Our merchants received new goods by the Augusta.

The new hotel at the cannery is nearing completion.

D. W. Priestly, the cooper, is busy making butter kegs.

The Str. Augusta came in Tuesday and went out Wednesday.

Mr. Wood has sold his upper ranch to parties from Portland.

Joe Wood and Frank Norberg made a trip to Tillamook last week.

Krebs Bros. are running their mill on full time, and lumber is plenty.

A. C. Dimick came in from Sheridan wit a load for Weatherly & Findlay Wednesday.

Nabob feels quite complimented by the puff the Headlight gave us last week; and we hope to continue our good name.
